The Only Way Out Is In

Two Retreat Experiences

STANDING IN THE LIGHT® offers two types of retreats, Program Retreats and Silent Retreats. Both are designed to assist you with your evolution into Light.

SITL Program Retreats

The STANDING IN THE LIGHT® (SITL) Program Retreat is a 6-day program including all four parts of the STANDING IN THE LIGHT® Level 1 Program. You will have the opportunity to learn to channel from your Soul, discover your Soul’s vision for you, learn 4th and 5th Dimensional ways to manifest and clear blocks to making your Soul’s vision come into form. You will also experience higher and higher levels of Light throughout the entire retreat with activities that include meditations, Oneness exercises, chanting and yoga all set in the peaceful and contemplative setting of Sunrise Ranch. There will be plenty of opportunity to wander the Sunrise Ranch grounds to find the truth of who you are in the silence of your inner world.

SITL Silent Retreats

The purpose of a silent retreat is to remove outside stimuli so that everything is directed within. This helps you find the silence and make the connection with your God-Self. You are not completely isolated in a silent retreat. You will be around others, in particular while sharing meals and throughout the day, there may be guided meditations depending on the schedule. There will be time for individual meditation as well. The goal is to discover yourself and where you interfere with your own connection to your God-Self. You will not communicate with others which includes making eye-contact. It is an “eye-opener” when you discover how much interference we feel when interacting with others and how difficult it is to silence the “monkey mind”. Marsha tells the story of the man she met in Squaw Flats in the Canyonlands. He was from Alaska and had been going to the desert because of the silence. He told her that his friends were always asking him what is so good about being in the desert? His reply was that at first you are just listening to yourself think until finally you realize it is boring to hear only yourself think. Then after that you only hear the silence.

“Only when one comes to listen, only when one is aware and still, can things be seen and heard. Everyone has a listening-point somewhere. It does not have to be in the north or close to the wilderness, but some place of quiet where the universe can be contemplated with awe.” Sigurd F. Olson
