Author’s note. This blog entry combines musings from a blog entry from March 2015, last night’s Sunday Night Healing Circle and my soul’s guidance. Enjoy!
Do you ever wonder about the soundbites you hear in the media, from politicians or even from your own guidance? Soundbites like “we need to do something about income inequality”. And from our own guidance, the sound bite of “hold more serenity and release judgment of self and others?” The problem is you don’t normally hear the next 10 sentences that might actually give you some ideas or some action steps to work with these good ideas.
When I heard from my guidance that I needed to have and hold more “serenity” and to “release judgment of self and others” I thought “what are the next 10 sentences.”
This is what I was told.
The Christ teaches us that judgment is THE block to knowing ourselves as Source.
Our lower self looks out at the world and judges a situation. Is the situation good or bad? Does it affect me or my loved ones? Does it affect my livelihood and my way of life? Does it challenge the way I look at myself or the world?
Instead, our Souls look inward and discern, “what is my truth? What is the universal truth regarding this situation? What is in the highest good of all in this situation?” These are the type of questions that concern us at the Soul Level.
Next, the lower self looks out at the outer world situation and judges who is to blame for the situation. Can I be viewed as the victim and therefore, blameless? If it isn’t my fault or “they” started it, can I be viewed as justified, if I retaliate?
Again, our Souls look inward and discern, “what do I need to do to raise my vibration and the vibration of all to heal the situation?” Our Souls aren’t concerned about keeping a scorecard, who may or may not have started it, who may or may not have dirt on their hands. The Souls are concerned about returning to when all we felt was love. There is no scorecard. We aren’t playing for keeps. We are just playing. Life on earth is a grand experiment and illusion.
Of course, those last few statements sound like new age sound bites. So here are the next few sentences. Use the techniques you have been exposed to in energy classes, healing circles and by listening to your guidance to raise your vibration. It can be as easy as choosing one higher frequency action over a lower frequency action every day to help. You know what the higher frequency action is. For instance, listening to soothing music vs scrolling through your news feed. You can join a Reiki Circle or practice your favorite hobby, take a walk outside in nature or enjoy a good book. Or almost any action that keeps your blood pressure stable vs. scrolling through your news feed.
Finally, the lower self looks out and asks, “How can I save face?” The Soul isn’t concerned about saving face, it is ONLY concerned about learning all that can be learned in the experiment zone, wrapping up the experiment and recognizing the Love and the Light in Everyone and Everything.
Our souls want us to work with discernment and non-judgment instead of hold on to old judgments. In discernment we can tell black from white, up from down without judging either as good or bad. They are just different. Being able to discern one thing from another is going to help us to determine the highest plan action step. If we are only determining our action steps from 3D judgment, or even concepts of “this is how it is done in the 3D world” then we might be giving our power away to old patterns, to the way this has always been done.
When we use 5D non-judgment and 5D discernment, we will be able to take the next step on the path that is in the highest good of all without falling into the old patterns of guilt, shame, or regret.
I have told this story before. I remember visiting a resort town in West Virginia. My husband and I were eating lunch next to three families. One table had all the kids and one dad at it. The second table had the rest of the adults. The kids were playing a board game where the goal was to get to the center of the board first and then, the game would be over. The first girl to get to the center of the board said, “Let’s play until we all win.” That is how our Souls feel about this grand experiment and the board game we call Life on Earth. There is no loser, there is no scorecard, we play until we all win. No one is left behind.
If we can start to look at everything from the perspective of Our Souls and The Spiritual Hierarchy with discernment about what we can learn from the situation instead of looking with judgment as to who is to blame, we can start to tailor our actions and beliefs to be more in alignment with universal truths and hold less judgment. That is how you hold more serenity. Eliminate judgment of self and others and what is left is serenity.

This entry was originally posted in Feb 2022. The Creator Orientation has recently come to my attention again. I am being guided to post this again and to work with this energy for the Standing in the Light® Energy Transmission on May 9. Please RSVP to Ginger@iamstandinginthelight.com or Lori@iamstandinginthelight.com to join us at 7:30 PM Mountain Time to explore these concepts energetically. Namaste. I AM LORI
Are you looking at the world from a Victim Orientation or from a Creator Orientation?
In the Standing in the Light® Gathering and Teaching from July 2019, we discussed the Karpman Drama Triangle. In the 1960’s Stephen Karpman proposed that until we heal our drama, we are acting as a victim, a persecutor or a rescuer. We can move between these three energies very quickly. First, we might feel victimized and then we point the finger at someone else blaming them for our situation. We may want to be rescued or we could act as a rescuer for someone else because we believe they are a victim. The variations are endless as long as we are looking at the situations from the Victim Orientation. Many of us in the Standing in the Light® Community have worked with healing our unhealed issues by asking ourselves which corner of the Karpman Drama Triangle we are coming from. Are we acting as the victim, the persecutor or the rescuer?
What if we change how we look at the triangle? What if we look at it from the Creator Orientation instead of the Victim Orientation?
In 2005, David Emerald wrote the book called The Power of TED*. TED stands for The Empowerment Dynamic. In this book, Emerald introduces the audience to the terms Victim Orientation and Creator Orientation. Similar to Standing in the Light® teachings regarding how to look at the world from the 5D perspective instead of the 3D perspective by flipping the pyramid upside down, Emerald flips the Karpman Drama Triangle to look at the situation from the Creator Orientation.
In Emerald’s model, the victim corner of the triangle becomes the creator corner, the persecutor corner becomes the challenger corner, and the rescuer corner becomes the coach corner.
The idea is that the situation we find ourselves in may be the same but how we look at it will change the outcome. If we continue to look at it from the Victim Orientation we see a problem, we have anxiety from the problem and we react from that energy of anxiety which fuels the problem.
If we take the same situation, we find ourselves in but flip the triangle so that we see it from the Creator Orientation we look for the vision or the outcome versus looking at the problem. The energy that we feel is passion for the outcome not anxiety. Then we take baby steps in order to get us closer to the vision and outcome we desire.
For the Standing in the Light® students, does this sound familiar? Obviously, Emerald’s teaching really resonates with me! The Christ teaches us the 3R’s of manifesting. We focus on what we want to create (Receive the Vision), raise our frequency with positive energy like passion or whatever energy speaks to us (Resonate) and then we take the action steps to create it. The action steps may include Releasing the Blocks (the third R) in addition to taking steps in the outer world to bring the vision into fruition.
What I really like about Emerald’s model, The Empowerment Dynamic, is looking at the characters in each corner of the triangle in a new way. We can take a situation we are dealing with and name the victim, the persecutor and the rescuer as we see them. Then flip the orientation to The Empowerment Dynamic and see who the creator is (us).
We can identify the “challenger”. The challenger may be a constructive challenger, like a mentor or facilitator that challenges us to move forward and challenges our beliefs to help us heal. The challenger may be a deconstructive challenger like a boss that we really don’t like but who challenges us to really ask what we want and to help us move forward out of an uncomfortable position.
We can find the coach who sees the creator in us all and helps us on our path. This can be a friend, facilitator or teacher.
Of course, from the Standing in the Light® or Light Worker perspective, our own inner guidance can and does play all three roles as our most qualified aspect of Creator, Challenger and Coach.
We can ask for help from other humans and from our own inner wisdom. Sometimes we need the assistance in the physical world and sometimes we need it from the spiritual world. Many times, we need both forms of assistance. This does not mean we are a victim or need rescuing. It means WE ARE CREATOR and we are discerning how best to bring that energy to ourselves and to the world.
Let’s practice flipping our perspective from the Victim Orientation to the Creator Orientation. WE ARE CREATOR. WE ARE SOURCE.

How do you describe yourself when someone asks who you are? Do you describe yourself by race, gender, or career choice? If you are in the right circumstances, do you proclaim that “I AM SOURCE”? For me, it sorta depends on who is asking and how cheeky I am feeling. I don’t normally use the physical descriptions of myself but I tend to say that I am a spiritual counselor. When I am having some fun, I might say that I am a Reiki Master with a Masters of Taxation who is also a Master Scuba Diver.
Today, Spirit is guiding us to do some introspection to determine our “whatness.” What? What is our “whatness”? The definition of “whatness” is: noun – That which constitutes the fundamental nature of a thing: the essence or inherent quality.
What is our essence or inherent quality? Is your essence or inherent quality more aspirational than something you know without a doubt? I mean – I know I am a Reiki Master, a Master of Taxation and a Master Scuba Diver. I know these things because I have a piece of paper that says I am each of these. But what about my true essence or my inherent quality that might not fit on a certificate or that does not have a skill set to determine if I am proficient? What of the quality or essence that I didn’t need to earn or go to school for? That is the whatness I want to show the world and I want to be recognized as.
I was watching a television show once where someone asked a new parent, “what do you want your child be when they grow up?” The parent said, “kind.” That is the type of whatness Spirit wants us to contemplate being our truth.
Take a few minutes to center yourself and determine your whatness. You can use this whatness to be your guiding principle. When it is unclear what your next action step is, you can come back to your whatness to determine if the action step takes you closer to fulfilling your whatness, to being true to your whatness, or further from your whatness. If it takes you further from your whatness, you can ask to clear why you might want to take the action step, or you might want to clear the reasons and causes you desire to take that action step.
Also, you can use your whatness as a resonance or focal point for a meditation. Allow yourself to know your true whatness and to know yourself as Source.
I AM SOURCE

Are you the tea or the pasta? You may have heard this question during a motivational speaker’s presentation. The question is supposed to determine whether the environment you are in – the water in this metaphor – shapes you or do you shape the environment. Do you turn the water into a nice hot cup of tea or does the water cook your noodle?
In spirituality terms, the question is about whether you can stand in your power (be the tea) or give your power away (be the pasta). For the record, I probably like tea and pasta equally, so there is no “hot water shaming” going on here! However, for purposes of remembering who we are, even in challenging times, you can see where we are going with this analogy.
When we look at the mirrors in the outer world, our anxiety and energetic frequency level might lend itself to making it feel like we are the victim of the hot water. We truly believe our goose is cooked! The more we can put ourselves into a state of remembering that we are the creators of our reality, then we will see the outside mirrors as a way for us to express ourselves, to express our mastery, without feeling the drama of victimization energy, rescuer energy or persecutor energy.
I will admit, that currently, this is something I need to remind myself daily. Here are some of the steps I practice in order to try to be the tea!
- If I feel my anxiety level starting to rise, I start to chant a soothing song out loud, silently or I turn on my media player. I am amazed how quickly I become centered and grounded, again.

- Next, whatever my monkey mind won’t let go of, as quickly as I can, I write it down in the form of a clearing statement. “Clear the fear and false belief that my children might move in with me.”

- Then, I identify what the underlying issue is for that topic. “Clear the fear that I won’t have time and space to myself, that I won’t have time to meditate, that I won’t sleep well.” If it wasn’t obvious my now, I really like my alone time. It is where I find my power and my truth.

- That leads me to my next clearing statement. “Clear fear and false belief that I am not able to stand in my power and in my truth when I am with other people, etc.” You can see where this is going. I just continue to find more detailed issues.

- However, if I don’t have time to do all this immediately, I start with #1 and #2 to get the energy moving quickly. I will come back to the details when I have time.

- The next step is to bring in higher frequency resonances. This can be done consciously by filling with resonances like divine power, divine love, divine wisdom, divine nonjudgment, divine peace – whatever resonances will help transmute the issue I am clearing.

- Another way I bring in higher frequencies is to take walks, preferably by myself. See #3 above. I enjoy walking with my husband and with my dog. However, if I am truly doing this for selfcare, I prefer to be in nature without worrying about anyone else’s needs. (I am sure there is more to clear here, as well!) But, as part of being true to who I am, I need to be willing to admit to my loved ones what I need to be whole. I need to put on my oxygen mask on, first.

- Finally, I like to read or watch something silly, joyful or something that will make me laugh. One of my “go to” feel good movies right now is Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. This Netflix movie stars Will Farrell and Rachel McAdams. It just makes me laugh and allows me the pleasure of singing along with the cast and the real-life Eurovision contestants. It raises my frequency and helps transmute anxiety I might be holding.

These are the steps I take to help heal my anxiety. Find what formula works for you. Allow yourself to be the creator to affect your experiences instead of being at the effect of your environment.
May you know yourself as Creator

Recently, I have been using a technique to heal trauma that Marsha Hankins learned from another teacher and modified for Standing in the Light®. She calls the technique: Aging the Inner Child. With this technique, we are asking to see if there is trauma from our birth or at a certain age that needs to be healed. Once we identify an age where there is trauma energy, the actual aspect of trauma may not need to come to our conscious awareness. We can simply start to heal / clear the trauma with our usual clearing statements or healing methods like Reiki. Once that particular timeframe is clear of trauma, we ask for the next age where we might have trauma and start to clear that timeframe, too.
As I was working with this technique, I realized that I had the belief that if I had trauma energy that it manifested as a particular situation where I was the victim. I was the victim; thus, I was traumatized. That was my belief. Then, I heard some wisdom from my soul. I could have trauma energy even if I was the one in the situation who had persecuted someone else. I could have trauma energy stuck in my cellular memory no matter whether I was directly involved with the situation which felt traumatic. I could have trauma energy if I was a bystander, an observer or half way around the world to the unfolding events. Trauma energy is trauma energy no matter how it came to my awareness.
In this blog, we have discussed the Karpman Drama Triangle many times. When we still have drama in our lives or unhealed trauma, we need to heal the underlying energies of victim, persecutor and rescuer no matter which role in the drama we are playing. We need to heal the drama no matter if we switch from feeling like the victim to playing the role of persecutor to wanting to rescue someone that we believe isn’t able to stand in their own power.
Through all of these possibilities of drama and trauma, we need to remember that we, and all beings, are Source. If we still have trauma and drama to heal, it might help to look at the times when we perpetrated the trauma or rescued someone from the trauma and not just from when we might have been the victim. Heal the trauma no matter how it came into your experience.
